Shifts for time and attendance
Factory Track Shift details (except the Logical Midnight and Reduction Set) are maintained in CSI.
When you submit a batch from the Data Sync Control utility that includes the shifts that are downloaded, Factory Track processes these tasks:
- Create or update the Factory Track Shifts-Core Time
- Create or validate the Logical Midnight settings
- Create or update the Factory Track Shifts-Data Collection Parameters
- Create, update or validate Reduction Sets
- Create or update the tolerance settings. For example, Shift and Lunch Early in / Late out.
Note: You must enable this feature (RS8555) check box on
the Feature Management form.
- Shift and Lunch Early in / Late outs
- The allowed tolerance limit for clocking in or clock out and lunch in or lunch out. This data is downloaded from CSI using the Data Sync Control utility.
- Data Collection Parameters
- These are maintained in CSI. The parameters are downloaded and stored in Factory Track database to streamline transaction processing. These parameters are displayed on the Data Collection Parameters tab. The parameters have the same label names as the source fields in the Data Collection Parameters form in CSI and cannot be modified.
- Logical Midnight
- This value has planned usage of time threshold for attendance and jobs.
- Auto Clock Out
- Factory Track provides the ability to enable or disable
automatic clock out based on the
Logical Midnight setting on the
Auto Clock Out tab. When enabled, an active
background task is created which runs daily at the time specified. This background task
scans the attendance records for employees on the shift. If an open attendance loop is
identified (a clock in without a subsequent clock out), a clock out is generated for the
schedule shift end time and the task number is displayed on the form. Possible options:
- None
Background tasks are not executed. This is the default setting applicable when a shift is first created using data synchronization process.
- At Logical
Midnight
Background task runs from the moment this setting is enabled. Factory Track creates a background task when you click
and displays the task number.Note: To disable the background task, click or select from the list and save the shift.
