Starting machine operations

  1. Select Labor > Start Machine. The Start Machine form is displayed.
  2. Specify a date and time to record for this transaction, if required. The current date and time is specified by default.
    Note:  The employee can modify the date and time only if your user ID has the appropriate authorizations on the User Extensions form.
  3. Specify a job, job suffix, and operation.

    When a job/operation is selected, the Details tab displays the item number, unit of measure, job status the total, scrapped, completed, and remaining quantities.

  4. Select the Progress tab, to view the current progress of each operation in the selected job.
  5. Specify a resource in the Machine Resource field to start a labor transaction.
    • The dropdown list for the Machine Resource field displays resources that are in the resource groups on the Syteline job operations form's Resource tab.
    • The Details tab displays operation related data. The tab displays item information, the work center, job/operation quantity information and other job information.
  6. Click Process to start machine operation.
  7. Click Close/Exit to close the form without starting any operations.
