Starting labor hours reporting for a service order using the Work Center form

The non-workset-enabled employees can only start labor hours reporting for a service order. To add service order labor to a workset or to start a workset, use the Workset Maintenance form. Select Maintain to open this form. See Managing Worksets for more information.

  1. Select Labor > Work Center. The Work Center form is displayed.
  2. Specify the employee ID.
    Note: The number is specified by default.
  3. Select the work center.
    The work center is specified by default. The service orders that are ready to be started are displayed on the Service tab.
  4. Specify the date and time to record for this transaction.

    The current date and time is specified by default. You can modify the date and time only if the Work Center Popup Enabled parameter is cleared and and if your user ID has the appropriate authorizations on the User Extensions form.

  5. Select an operation from the Service tab.
  6. Specify this information:
    Partner ID
    The partner number.
    SRO
    The service order to report hours.
    Line
    Scan the item number of the material you are issuing.
    Operation
    The operation code.
  7. Select Start Run.
    Note: 
    • If the Work Center Popup Enabled parameter is cleared, the operation is started.
    • If the Work Center Popup Enabled parameter is selected, the Start Service Labor form is opened. Use the Start Service Labor form to start the operation.
