Defining a Factory track User Role

To define a role for the Factory Track user:

  1. Access the Users form from theUsers Extensions form.
  2. Select a user record.
  3. Specify a user type in the User Type field in the Info tab. The role of the user in Factory Track is defined based on the user type that you specify. The specified user type also determines if the user is authorized to read, write and delete the status on the forms that the user can open (or access). Possible values:
    • Administrator: Administrator can access and update all forms. This user type is not applicable for LN Shop Floor(SF) and can also have Work Group Authorization.
    • Supervisors: Supervisors can view most forms, and can specify and modify employee times. However, this user type cannot modify configuration and organization tables. This is the lowest user type with Work Group authorization.
    • Users: Users can only specify transaction information in real time. This user type is for console and employee (users). Work Group Authorization is not provided for this user type.
    • Machine: Machines ties the user profile to specific machines. This is used to monitor the activities performed on the specific machine. This user type is only applicable when LN SF is implemented.
