Navigation shortcuts

These keyboard shortcuts are designed to help you navigate on and between forms.

Note: Unless otherwise indicated, the keyboard shortcut is the same in both the web client and the Windows client.


Action	Keys	Description
Move to next record	F8 OR Down arrow	Works only when a record is selected in a collection Moves the focus to the next record in the collection
Move to the previous record	F7 OR Up arrow	Works only when a record is selected in a collection Moves the focus to the previous record in the collection
Move the cursor to the beginning of a record	Ctrl+Home	Wherever the focus is, moves the focus to the first editable field for a record On a multiview form, moves the focus to the first active field or column in the grid view
Move the cursor to the beginning of a field	Home	Works whether the field is editable or not
Activate the next collection	Ctrl+F8	In forms that display multiple collections, moves the focus to the next collection
Shift the focus on the form	F6 OR Ctrl+F6 (Web client)	Works with multiview forms only. If the focus is on the grid side, shifts the focus to the detail side If the focus is on the detail side, shifts the focus to the grid side
Switch between open forms	Ctrl+Tab OR Ctrl+Shift+Arrow Key (Web client)	These key combinations "cycle through" the open forms, and moves the focus from one to the next
Navigates to the Form panel	Ctrl+Shift+5	Web Designer only Redirects the focus to the Form panel or workspace
Navigates to the Main menu	Ctrl+Shift+6	Web Designer only Sets focus on the application main menu item
Navigates to the Properties panel	Ctrl+Shift+7	Web Designer only Sets focus on the component Properties panel
Navigates to the Toolbox panel	Ctrl+8	Web Designer only Sets focus on the Toolbox panel
Navigates to the Details panel	Ctrl+Shift+9	Web Designer only Sets focus on the Details panel
