Relocating containers

  1. Select Icon Menu > Inventory > Inventory Transfer. The Inventory Transfer form is displayed.
    Note: Alternatively, you can also use List Menu.
  2. Specify this information:
    From Warehouse
    The warehouse where the container is located.
    Handling Unit
    The handling unit of the item. The item number, stock point characteristics, on-hand quantity, free quantity, and default unit of measure for the container are displayed.
    Qty To Transfer
    The item quantity to be transferred.
    To Warehouse
    The warehouse to which the item is transferred.
    To Location
     The location to which the item is transferred.
    Note: 
    This field is only displayed if the item is transferred to a location-controlled warehouse.
  3. Click Process. The Serial/Lot Entry screen is displayed when part of the container is transferred, and the item is serial-controlled or a lot number is yet to be assigned.
  4. On the Serial/Lot Entry screen, specify or review this information:
    Item number
    The item number and description .
    Quantity remaining
    The quantity that needs to be assigned with serial or lot numbers .
    Generate Serials?
    Confirms the generation of serial numbers for the items.
    Note: 
    • Select Yes to generate new serial numbers. Select No to scan existing serial numbers,
    • This field is displayed only if the item is serial-controlled, generate serial numbers for the transaction, and scan any serial numbers.
    All Serials?
    Determines if the serial numbers are to be scanned,
    Note: 
    • Select Yes to avoid scanning of each number and ensure that all the items with serial number of current stock point are used in the transaction.
    • This field is displayed only if the item is serial-controlled and transaction is performed using all the items in a stock point.
    Lot Number
    The lot number assigned with the item.
    Note: This field is available only if the item is not serial-controlled and lot number is to be assigned.
    Serial Number
    The serial number to be scanned .
    Note: This field is displayed only if the item is serial-controlled and Yes is selected in the All Serials? field.
    Quantity
    The quantity assigned with the specified lot number.
    Note: This field is displayed if the item is not serial-controlled and lot number is yet to be assigned.
  5. Click Process. The scanned serial number or lot number is processed.Scan the additional serial numbers or lot numbers . press to view serial or lot numbers that you have scanned. Optionally, press to reset all scanned serial or lot numbers, so you can re-scan them.
    Note: Click Y to reset all the scanned serial numbers and rescan. Click X to view the scanned serial and lot numbers.
  6. Specify the details to split the contents of the container on the Split HU Quantity screen when transferring part of the container.
    Add to Another HU?
    Indicate if handling unit must be added or removed.
    Note: You must specify the handling unit in the Add to Handling Unit field if Yes is selected. The Add to Handling Unit field must be blank to create new handling unit.
  7. Click Process. The items are assigned with a new handling unit or become loose inventory in Infor LN.
