Supervisor Mode

When you log in as a Supervisor, you can:

  • Review the current status of the resources (machines and operators) the supervisor is responsible for.
  • Review the current tasks that are scheduled to run, for these resources.
  • View the current active tasks that are performed by a supervisor's operators or machines.
  • Assign tasks to the resources.
  • Login as one of the resources to adjust task information for that resource.

The global parameter Supervisor Start Page, determines the page that is displayed when you log in as a supervisor. The application displays one of these forms:

  • Resource Summary
  • Assignment List

The Resource Summary form displays the list of all the resources (operators and machines), and the current status. The status can be:

  • Active
  • Inactive
  • Down (only if resource is a machine)
  • Overdue

The form also displays the tasks assigned for each resource. When the supervisor clicks a resource, these options are displayed:

  • Resource Assignment: Use this option to view the current assignments for this resource, add new assignments or unassign the current assignments.
  • Tasks Performed: Use this option to view the activities that the resource has undertaken in a specific date range.

The Assignment List form displays the tasks scheduled to run in a particular work center and allows the supervisor to assign these tasks to specific operators or machines.

The Supervisor can use the Switch Mode Option to switch to Operator or Machine mode. This enables the Supervisor to log in as a resource and perform activities on behalf of that resource. This option is used to close the tasks with schedule overrun and start tasks that are due. You must click Logout to revert back to the Supervisor again.

The Supervisor can toggle between the Resource Summary form, the Assignment List form and the current tasks form using the Menu option.

The Current Tasks form displays the current tasks that are performed by the supervisor's operators or machines.

Each line displays the start date and time of the task along with other information related to the task.
