Script prompts
Prompts about customized global scripts and form scripts give you the option to edit the customized code. See Configuring a file-comparison utility.
FormSync displays prompts when the base-level version in the Source configuration is different from the base-level version in the Target configuration. As with other synchronization prompts, you can select Keep to retain the customized script, or you can select Remove to remove the customized script and replace it with the base-level version in the Source.
Editing scripts
The Edit option opens the default file-comparison utility, showing the base-level code from the Source and the custom code from the Target. If the KDiff3 file comparison utility is being used as the default utility, then you can also view the original base-level version of the script from the Target configuration.
The name of the custom code file has the prefix Customized. The name of the base-level code file has the prefix Vendor, Site, or Group.
You can analyze the two versions and make changes to the custom version.
When you save the custom code file and close the file-comparison utility, the custom code is incorporated into the forms database in the Target configuration, replacing the previous custom form script or global script.
