Function Space Occupancy

Function Space Occupancy counts the number of function spaces that are sold. The available analyses show what function space or combo space is occupied.

Occupied Physical Space

This analysis type shows how many physical rooms were occupied. Physical rooms in this context means "unique rooms"; actual built.

If a combo room was occupied, it is broken down accordingly and allocated to the individual rooms.

If you pull the analysis from a graph screen, the analysis shows a capacity line, as it is "unique rooms". This is how the calculation is done:
  • If a room was occupied once: Yes (1)
  • If a room was not occupied: No (0)
  • If a room was occupied twice on the same day: it is accounted once (1)
Note: The analysis only accounts for events having both the Function Room and Function Event Type for which the In Inventory parameter is enabled to Yes.

This analysis should be used in combination with the Physical Function Room dimension. It should not be used with the Function Room dimension as it can provide misleading results.

Occupied Function Space

This analysis type does not break down the combo rooms, but displays how often rooms were sold. This can help you to analyze how often you have sold combo rooms. Each combo room is counted once, Yes (1) or No (0) regardless of how many times it was occupied in one day.

If a function room is sold independently and not part of the combo, the Occupied Function Space analysis reflects the occupancy of the physical room occupied. Example: If the same room is also sold as a combo for the afternoon, the Occupied Function Space analysis reflects occupancy for both the physical room and the combo for the specific day.
Note: The analysis only accounts for events having both the Function Room and Function Event Type for which the In Inventory parameter is enabled to Yes.

This analysis should be used in combination with the Function Room dimension. It should not be used with the Physical Function Room dimension as it can provide misleading results.

Resident Forecast

This analysis type shows the forecasted physical occupied space which will be brought by residential business. The guests will not only reserve catering space, they will also book accommodation with the property.

Note: This analysis is only available in the Forecast screen. For other screens, you can check the space occupied by residential business using the Resident - Non Resident dimension.
