Revenues

You can use these analyses to display figures by Revenue Category for function space according to how it is set up in the Infor EzRMS. For example, properties have these three categories set up in Opera, which are the same Revenue Categories as in the general hotel section:

  • Room: Revenues are connected to the Room Revenue side; bedrooms.
  • F&B: Revenues are connected to Food and Beverage.
  • Other: Revenues are connected to Other Revenues.

Function space revenues reflect figures for any block that has or had a catering event attached; you will not only receive the catering revenues from the event, the accommodation income is also accounted and displayed.

Function Space Revenue

The figures highlight the function space revenues by Revenue Category for the selected period.

The Actuals screen, which displays historical data, is reflected once the financial transaction has been processed for the event. When the property has an event taking place over a couple of days, it is recommended to post figures on a daily basis.

If the invoicing is done for the full period at once, the revenues are only reflected on the date when the transaction occurred. This could be the last day of the event, or sometimes, a couple of days after it took place; not necessarily on the consumption date.

Function Space Revenue Contribution

Using this analysis type, you can report the weight of these Revenue Categories in the function space revenues:

  • Room's weight in the revenues = Room Revenues / Total Revenues
  • F&B's weight in the revenues = F&B Revenues / Total Revenues
  • Others weight in the revenues = Other Revenues / Total Revenues

Rev/Occupied Surface (SqM or SqFt)

Revenue per occupied square meters or square feet.

Rev/Available Surface (SqM or SqFt)

Revenue per available square meters or square feet.

Revenue per Occupied Physical Function Space

Revenue per occupied physical function space.
Note: In this context, physical rooms means unique rooms. If a combo room was occupied, it is broken down accordingly and allocated to the individual room.

Function Space Booked Revenue

This analysis type reflects the latest ‘booked’ revenue. It provides an estimation of the revenue for an event on each day. In other words, it accounts for any revenue you received on the books before, or on the consumption date.

The purpose of this analysis is to assist in correlating occupancy and revenues when the property regularly does not perform transaction on the consumption date. This analysis can also be used to differentiate between what customer initially contracted versus the billed amount.

For on the books data, the Function Space Revenue and the Function Space Booked Revenue analysis types reflect the same figure.

Revenue per Function Space Reservation

Revenue per number of reservations for the selected analysis.

Note: In this context, reservations refers to the number of blocks in the system.

Function Space Revenue Conversion

Function space revenue over total demand revenue; including the Function Space Lost&Cancellations Revenue.

Similar to the Function Space Reservation Conversion, this analysis reflects the amount of revenue materialized based on all business received.
