Special Events options

Hotel Management must ensure that knowledge regarding Special Events is incorporated in the Revenue Management process.

Seasons
This is a Calendar that shows all preset Seasons within the hotel. These can only be changed by EzRMS.

Clicking on any blue underlined day in the future will transfer you to the Detailed Daily View for that day. Seasons display on a number of screens, including the Detailed Daily View, History and Bookings.

Event Types
This section allows you to see the events that have been entered into EzRMS for a specific period by Event Type. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see which Event Type takes place on the highlighted date.
Events
This section allows you to see the events that have been entered into EzRMS for a specific period by Event Name. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see which Event takes place on the highlighted date.
Holiday Events
This section allows you to see the holiday events that have been entered into EzRMS for a specific period by Event Name. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see which Holiday Event takes place on the highlighted date.
Internal Events
This section allows you to see the internal events that have been entered into EzRMS for a specific period by Event Name. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see which Internal Event takes place on the highlighted date.
External Events
This section allows you to see the external events that have been entered into EzRMS for a specific period by Event Name. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see which External Event takes place on the highlighted date.
Overriden Recommendations
This section allows you to see the Overridden Recommendations in EzRMS for a specific period. The legend below the calendar is showing the different override levels with an attached color displayed in the calendar.
Saved Day
This section allows you to see the Saved Days in EzRMS for a specific period. The legend below the calendar is showing the different override levels with an attached color displayed in the calendar.
Bad Data

In some occasions you might want to filter out information in order to make sure that the forecasts ignore this bad data. If this occurs, Bad Data needs to be entered.

In one of the following events occurs, there might be a need to enter Bad Data:

  • Strikes
  • Delayed Flights
  • Severe Weather

Corrupted Data: PMS Difficulty (system down or lost data)

Specify the Bad Data by clicking on a date and follow the instructions.

Constrained Day
This section allows you to see the Constrained Days calculated by EzRMS for a specific period. Days that are constrained - meaning that EzRMS forecast higher demand than availability - will be highlighted in Red whereas the unconstrained days will be in Green.
Dynamic Rack Default
This section allows you to see the Default RACK/BAR defined in EzRMS for a specific period. The legend below the calendar is showing the different RACK Levels with an attached color displayed in the calendar.
Note
This section allows you to see the Notes entered in EzRMS for a specific period. The legend below the calendar is showing the different levels of Notes with an attached color displayed in the calendar. By highlighting any colored date you will be able to see what note has been left on the highlighted date.
