Creating an AS2 partner
- Select COMMUNICATION > Partner Management.
- Click New.
- Select AS2.
- Click Next.

Specify this information:
- Partner
- The Partner field and the Unit field are used as a unique identifier. The Partner field has nine digits.
- Unit
- The three-digit Unit field is not required.
- Description
- This field shows the description of the selected partner.
- Notice
- Specify a comment.

On the AS2 tab, specify
this information:
- Communication Active
- Select this check box to enable communication with this partner. If the check box is disabled, send requests can be created, but are not sent. When receiving data, Exchange Services behaves as if the partner does not exist.
- URL
- Specify the partner's URL.
- Verify Host Name
- Select the check box to verify the URL against the partner certificate.
- Authentication method
- Specify the authentication method of the partner's HTTP server.
- User
- Specify the user name for the authentication.
- Password
- Specify the password for the authentication.
- Send system
- This field shows the sending system that is used.
- Partner AS2 ID
- This field shows the partner's AS2 ID.
- Own default AS2 ID
- This value is used as a default value that is preset on the DSN incoming and DSN outgoing tabs.

Optionally, click the Certificates tab.

On the Extended settings tab, specify this
information:
- Process limit
- Specify the number of simultaneous processes that can be active in communicating with this partner.
- Max. Call Attempts
- Specify how many transmission attempts are made before an error message is displayed.
- Interval Call Attempts (in sec.)
- Specify the time interval between two consecutive sending attempts.
- Individual Sending Directory
- Select the check box to specify an individual sending directory in the provided field.
- Individual Receipt Directory
- Select the check box to specify an individual receipt directory.
- Use chunk size
- Select the check box to define a chunk size.
- Read Timeout (in sec)
- Specify a time-out interval for reading the HTTP response.
- Connection Timeout (in sec)
- Specify a time-out value for the connection.
- Partner specific TLS/SSL parameter (Expert Mode)
- Select this check box to adjust some partner-specific
TLS/SSL security parameters, such as cipher suite or TLS/SSL protocol, through the
TLS/SSL Parameter
button.

If you select this check box, non-standard parameters are set by default.For incoming connections, the parameters are set based on the incoming IP address if the incoming IP address or name is known.
- Additional Inbound IPs (comma separated)
- Optionally, you can add differing incoming IP addresses in addition to the outgoing IP address.
- Client Authentication on base of incoming IP-Addresses
- Select None or Force to deactivate or enforce client authentication in TLS deviating from the default settings in the receiving system.
- Click Save.
