Message IDs

On the Message IDs page, you can create, edit, copy, and delete message ID setups.

You use a message ID setup to define the position of the sender ID and receiver ID in a message. The position of the sender ID and receiver ID in a message depends on the message standard and, optionally, the message type. For example, message ID setups that are configured for UN-EDIFACT messages only require that the message standard is specified. The message type is set to Default.

A message ID setup specifies the qualifier or tag and the offset positions that identify the sender ID and the receiver ID in a message. The Transformation Services area uses the setup to evaluate the sender ID and receiver ID of an incoming message. To identify the sender ID and receiver ID of incoming messages, a message ID setup must be created. The sender ID and receiver ID are assigned to a unique partner ID that is used to retrieve the transformation rule for a message.

To search for message ID setups, specify filter criteria in the field entries of the required columns.
