Manually changing the log level of a service

On the Manage Logs page, you can manually change the log level of a service.

To manually change the log level of a service:

  1. Select Administrative Functions > Manage Logs.
  2. Expand Manage Log Levels. Select a service from the Service drop-down list.

    You can change the log level of these application services:

    • Master Data Service
    • Printing Service
    • Transformation Service
    • Shipping Service
    • Release Management Service
    • UI Service
  3. Select a log level from the Log Level drop-down list.

    You can select one of these log levels:

    • Debug
    • Info
    • Warn
    • Error
  4. Click Change Log Level.
    The dialog box Change Log Level prompts you to cancel or confirm the change.
  5. Click OK.
    The log level of the service changes. The new log level is shown in the log level field of the selected service and in the log files. For each service, a separate log level field is displayed in the Manage Log Levels field set.
  6. To check the log levels, review these fields in the Manage Log Levels field set:
    • Master Data Service Log Level: This field shows the log level of the Master Data Service.
    • Printing Service Log Level: This field shows the log level of the Printing Service.
    • Transformation Service Log Level: This field shows the log level of the Transformation Service.
    • Shipping Service Log Level: This field shows the log level of the Shipping Service.
    • Release Management Log Level: This field shows the log level of the Release Management Service.
    • UI Service Log Level: This field shows the log level of the UI Service.
  7. To check the log level of the log files, download the files, unzip AE-Logs.zip, and open the text files with a text editor.
