Creating an AS2 partner DSN outbound

  1. Select COMMUNICATION > Partner Management.
  2. Edit an AS2 partner.
  3. In the DSN Outbound area, click New.
    A DSN named 'Unnamed DSN' is created.
  4. Specify the information in the General DSN Details dialog.
    DSN
    Specify a data set name. This way, the complete set of information can be assigned to a send request.
    Description
    Specify a description of the data set name.
  5. On the AS2 tab, specify this information:
    Own AS2 ID
    This field shows your AS2 ID.
    File name
    This field shows the file name inside the AS2 package.
    Subject
    This field shows the subject of the AS2 message.
    From
    This field shows the From e-mail address.
    Content type
    Select the content type:
    • application/octet-stream
    • text/plain
    • application/EDIFACT
    • application/EDI-X12
    • application/EDI-Consent
    • application/xml
    • application/pdf
    If required, you can also specify a content type requested by the partner.
    Encode BASE 64
    Select this check box to encode the file in Base64.
    Use original file name
    Select this check box to use the Exchange Services internal file name.
    MDN request
    Specify an option:
    • None: No MDN is requested
    • Synchron: A synchronous MDN is requested
    • Asynchron: An asynchronous MDN is requested
    Signing / MIC Algorithm
    The MDN is signed if a MIC algorithm is selected.
  6. On the Certificates tab, specify this information:
    Encryption
    Specify the encryption algorithm for this partner.
    Signing
    Specify the signing algorithm for this partner.
    Compression
    Select the check box to enable compression.
    See Certificate Management for the handling of certificates.
  7. On the Extended settings tab, specify this information:
    Add on Header
    Click New to create an additional HTTP header and specify a name and a value. HTTP headers are attached when the message is sent.
    Conversion
    Specify the conversion to be performed by Exchange Services before transmission.
    These options are available: None, ASCII to EBCDIC, EBCDIC to ASCII.
    Send Priority
    Select the priority of the send job: low, medium, or high.
    Individual Send Directory
    Select the check box and specify an individual send directory in the provided field.
    Archiving
    Select the check box and select Individual Archive Directory to specify the archive directory in the provided field.
