Creating an HTTP partner DSN outbound

  1. Select COMMUNICATION > Partner Management.
  2. Edit a partner.
  3. In the DSN Outbound area, click New.
    A DSN named 'Unnamed DSN' is created.
  4. Specify the information in the General DSN Details dialog. The available fields depend on the selected connection type.
    DSN
    Specify a data set name. This way, the complete set of information can be assigned to a send request.
    Description
    Specify a description of the data set name.
  5. On the HTTP tab, specify this information:
    Basis URL
    The base URL is taken over from the partner tab.
    URL Path
    This field shows an additional URL path that will be attached to the URL from the partner tab during sending.
    File Name
    This field shows the file name in the HTTP request.
    Content type
    Select the content type:
    • application/octet-stream
    • text/plain
    • application/EDIFACT
    • application/EDI-X12
    • application/EDI-Consent
    • application/xml
    • application/pdf
    If required, you can also specify a content type requested by the partner.
    Method
    Select POST or PUT as HTTP method.
  6. On the Extended settings tab, specify this information:
    Add on Header
    Click New to create an additional HTTP header and specify a name and a value. HTTP headers are attached when the message is sent.
    Conversion
    Specify the conversion to be performed by Exchange Services before transmission.
    These options are available: None, ASCII to EBCDIC, EBCDIC to ASCII.
    Send Priority
    Select the priority of the send job: low, medium, or high.
    Individual Send Directory
    Select the check box and specify an individual send directory in the provided field.
    Archiving
    Select the check box and select Individual Archive Directory to specify the archive directory in the provided field.
  7. Click OK.
