Message Formats

On the Message Formats page, you can create, edit, copy, and delete message format rules.

In Transformation Services, a message format rule is used to identify the message standard, the message type, and the message version of an incoming message. The rule defines the qualifiers or tags and the position data of that information in a message. To process an incoming message successfully, a message format rule must be created.

To search for message format rules, select filter criteria from the drop-down lists of the required columns. Specify search terms to display a filtered list of message format rules.

To view the detail settings, click the Drill down button of a message format rule.
