In the General Partner
Details section, specify this information:
- Partner
- The Partner field and the Unit field are used as a unique identifier. The Partner field has nine digits.
- Unit
- The three-digit Unit field is not required.
- Description
- This field shows the description of the selected partner.
- Notice
- Specify a comment.
-
On the OFTP tab, specify this
information.
- Communication Active
- Select this check box to enable communication with this partner. If the check box is disabled, send requests can be created, but are not sent. When receiving data, Exchange Services behaves as if the partner does not exist.
- OFTP Version
- Specify OFTP Version 1 or OFTP Version 2.
- OFTP Secure Authentication
- Specify if the OFTP2 partner authentication is to be used. You
can specify yes, no, or prepared. Use
prepared if you preconfigure the partner's
certificate identification data. In this case, the authentication can be started by
the system through the automatic certificate exchange once the certificates are
exchanged. Note: This list box can be accessed only if OFTP Version 2 is specified.
- ODETTE ID
- The partner's ODETTE ID and the corresponding password are used to communicate with this partner.
- Local ODETTE ID send, Local ODETTE ID receive
- If available, specify an alternative own Odette ID to be used with this partner.
- Remote Password
- Specify the partner's password.
- Local Password
- Specify the password with which you can access your partner’s system. You must coordinate the password with your partner.
- Call Number
- Specify the partner’s ISDN telephone number for the OFTP connection.
- Send Systems
- The selected systems are assigned to the partner.
-
Optionally, click the Certificates tab. Here you can store the partners's
TLS/SSL server or client-side certificates.
See Certificate Management for the handling of certificates.Note: This tab can only be accessed when you specify OFTP 2 as OFTP version.
-
On the Extended
settings tab, specify this information.
- OFTP SSID user data
- This information may be required for mailbox systems.
- Exchange Buffer Size
- Specify the value for the exchange buffer size if the value differs from the the default value.
- Exchange Buffer Credits
- Specify a value for the exchange buffer credits if the value differs from the default value.
- Compression
- Select the check box to enable compression.
- Allow Restart
- Select the check box to allow a restart of the transmission.
- Suppress duplicate file check (SFNA13)
- Select this option to suppress the verification of duplicate files that are
based on SSID+Originator+Destination+Virtual File Name and Odette file date. This
can be required when a partner sends different files with the same above-mentioned
parameters, in particular with identical Odette file date.
Note that by selecting this option you prevent the restart of broken transmissions. Broken file transmissions thus produce 'order skeletons' in the receive list.
- Allow Direction Change
- Select this option to allow sending and receiving during the same session.
- Partner sends EERP
- Specify if the partner sends EERP (end-to-end response) messages. If you select the check box, the system waits for the EERP message before the files are archived.
- EERP Collection (EFPACD with NO)
- Select the check box to enable collected End to End Response
(EERP) messages if your partner requires this functionality.
The EFPACD setting shows the setting of the Change Direction Indicator in the OFTP protocol.
After having received an end file commmand (EFID), the recipient of the file returns an EFPA (End File Positive Answer). Through the EFPACD parameter, the listener can request a Change Direction (CD) command from the speaker. 'No', which is the preconfigured setting, means that the sender can continue with the next file. Thus, the EERP's accumulate.
- Active EERP Retrieval
- Select the check box to specify that an EERP message is actively retrieved.
- Max. Retrieval Attempts
- Specify the maximum number of attempts for retrieving the EERP messages.
- Retrieval Attempts Interval (in min.)
- Specify the time interval (in minutes) after which an attempt should be made to retrieve the EERP message.
- Retrieve Data via Time Series
- Specify the time series that is used to retrieve files from your partner.
- You can click New, Edit or
Delete to create, edit or
remove a time series.
You can define the schedule depending on the partner by clicking New. When specified, the time event manager on the OFTP server analyzes the schedule and initializes the connection to the partner system.
- Specify the start and end time of the schedule in the Time Series section.
