New VDA 4939 shipping documents process for trading partner A0030 VW Europe

The trading partner A0030 VW Europe requires suppliers to send detailed shipping documents with the truck driver carrying the shipment. VW provides the “TSB Generator” software to their suppliers that can be used to print the VDA 4939 shipping documents.

A new generic process has been introduced now for the trading partner A0030 VW Europe that enables suppliers to generate the required VDA 4939 shipping documents without using the “TSB Generator” software.

In the new process, the shipping documents are printed by InterFormNG as done for other printed documents after a shipment has been frozen in LN.

InterFormNG uses the new VDA 4939 print template to generate the shipping documents.

The new Packing Slip Type VDA4939 has been introduced to enable the generation of the VW shipping documents. This new packing slip type must be configured in the Customers code list.

The same InterFormNG VDA 4939 print template can also be used for other trading partners such as BMW and Nissan.

Note: Customers who are running on-premise installations can use two methods to print the required documents for shipments to VW plants: They can use the TSB Generator provided by VW or let the VDA 4939 shipping documents be printed by InterFormNG. Customers who have cloud installations must use the InterFormNG solution.
