Remote ETL issues

You must configure the domain account for ETL when using interdomain SQL job requests.

Note:

When running the server setup on remote installation (with different domain), specify the hostname instead of the IP address in the Server field. Also, add the server hostname and IP address in the hosts file.

  1. From the Start menu, select Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > Configuration Tools > SQL Server Configuration Manager .
  2. In the SQL Server Configuration Manager, right-click SQL Server Agent and select Properties.
  3. Set these:
    Log On tab

On the Log On tab, set the SQL Server Agent to one of the these:

    • The current domain account

    • A Local System account

    • An account with appropriate permissions to create and run SQL Jobs

  4. Click OK.
