Install the remote connection required components

To configure DWD for a remote connection, you must install the BPW Service and the SSIS Wrappers on the target server.

Client servers must have these prerequisite SQL components for remote server setup:

  • Client Tools Connectivity
  • Client Tools Backward Compatibility
  • Client Tools SDK
  • Integration Services (for High Availability/SSISDB setup)
Note: This is the default installation location: C:\Program Files\BV Data Warehouse Designer
  1. Run the installer.
  2. On the Welcome screen, click Next.
  3. Chose an installation location or accept the default and click Next.
  4. On the Setup Type, select the Custom option and click Next.
  5. On the Custom Setup screen, select the list for the Server component.
  6. For the Server component, select This feature will be installed when required.
  7. Click Next.
  8. On the Ready to Install screen, click Install.
