Configuring DWD for remote connection

Use the procedures in this section to set up remote access to the Microsoft SQL Server using Infor Business Vault Data Warehouse Designer with limited or no database drivers installed on the remote client machine.

Complete these procedures if you have installed DWD without Microsoft SQL Server Components. For more information, see DWD database configuration.

If you installed DWD with Microsoft SQL Server Components, you can skip the steps in this section.

Note:

For remote Fastload to work, SQL Native Client driver and SQL Command line utilities should be present on the client machine.
