Set up the DWD Server

Note: 

If you do not complete the DWD Server setup immediately after installation, you can access the server setup from the Start > Programs menu.

  1. On the Server Setup screen, select Standard. Click the arrow.
  2. Type your Microsoft SQL Server Name and select the Authentication for login to Microsoft SQL Server.
    Note: 

    You must have database create rights.

  3. Click the arrow.
  4. In the Components to install tree, select:

    • DWD Server Software

    • The metadata for import

      Note: 

      For Lawson: Select the S3 database configuration.

      Select S3 9.0.1 for Lawson 9. Select S3 10.0.0 for Lawson 10.

      Only the DWD Server Software should be installed if the setup is specific for metadata generation.

    You can also select any of the system metadata packages for the system/versions your organization uses.

  5. On the Confirm database settings screen, select a preconfigured setting that suits your environment.
  6. Select a prefix for your DWD database:

    • Select Yes to prefix DWD databases and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) jobs with DWD.

    • Select No to override the prefix and type your own prefix value.

      Note: 

      For example, for a Lawson Oracle configuration, you can use the prefix LAWORACLE.

    Click the arrow to install.

  7. After installation, close the Server Setup Wizard.
