Add the SQL Option Variable filter

This is applicable for objects using only the table implementation type.

  1. On the Designers tab, expand the tree view to locate the object.
  2. Right-click the source object and select Detailed Properties > Processing Options (ETL) > Overview.
  3. Click the Add SQL Option button. The SQL Option form is displayed.
  4. Select the Add OPTIMIZE FOR check box.
  5. In the drop-down list, select SQL Option variable .
  6. Optionally, you can add a new SQL Option Variable. See Creating SQL Option Variable.
  7. Click Apply then OK.
  8. Open object properties. Click Filter then Edit Filter.
  9. Add the SQL Option variable to the filter.
  10. Click OK then Apply.
  11. Run the object compilation.
