Duplicate a fact table

Simplify the creation process by duplicating an existing fact table and modifying it.

  1. Click the Designers tab.
  2. Expand Fact Tables.
  3. Right-click the fact table, then select Duplicate
  4. Select one of the following:
    Copy the Fact Table

    The new fact table will be identical to the original fact table but will not inherit the original references forward.

    Add a copy after

    The new fact table will depend on the original fact table.

    Insert a copy before

    The original fact table will depend on the new copy of the fact table.

  5. Select a system from the Target system drop-down field.
  6. Click OK.
