Defining DWD server authentication settings
Perform this procedure to define the authentication settings for the DWD server.
Define DWD server authentication settings:
- From the Start menu, select All Programs > BV Data Warehouse Designer > BV Data Warehouse Designer Server Set Up .
 - Specify one of these setup options:
           
- Standard
 - 
              
Select this option to use standard DWD database settings.
Note:DWD installs the M3 metadata for the actual M3 version, but not necessarily your M3 version.
 - Custom
 - 
              
Select this option to modify the DWD database settings to suit your needs.
 - Fastload
 - 
              
Select this option to use or run a script in setting up the DWD server.
 
 - Select Use options from previous setup to use a previous setup.
           
Click Next.
 - Complete these steps:
           
- Microsoft SQL Server Name
 - 
              
Specify the Microsoft SQL Server. The default value of this field is the name of the Windows server running the Microsoft SQL Server.
 - Enable High Availability setup
 - Select this option to enable High Availability setup for this profile. Ensure that a valid Availability Group Listener Name is provided in the Microsoft SQL Server Name field.
 - Authentication type
 - 
              Select the method to be used for validating a user's credentials. The default authentication is Windows (trusted).Note:
For Windows Authentication, the Windows NT user must have a SQL login to the database server.
For all authentication types, the SQL login credentials must have a "sysadmin" server role.
 - Login Name
 - 
              
If you selected Microsoft SQL Server authentication, specify the login name to access the Microsoft SQL Server.
 - Password
 - 
              
If you selected Microsoft SQL Server authentication, specify the password to access the Microsoft SQL Server.
 
Click Next.
 - Specify one of these procedures:
           
- Standard setup
 -
