Creating custom reports

You can create custom reports in Application Studio. Predefined reports are displayed in the navigation menu of the Financial Reporting Homepage.

Note: In Financial Reporting, you can optionally use report template packages. See Knowledge Base Article 3523883.
  1. In Application Studio, select Report Catalog > Reports.
  2. Right-click the Additional Reports folder and select New > Report.
  3. In the Create Report dialog box, specify this information:
    Name
    Specify the name of the report.
    Unique name
    Specify the unique name of the report.
  4. Click OK.
    The Hide from report viewers advanced setting is set to False. This is a default value and indicates that the report is visible.
    Note: The report is visible only to the current user. You must check in the report, to make it generally available.
  5. In the dashboard toolbar, select Financial Reporting > Reports > Additional Reports and open the new report.

    The report is saved as a dashboard. The unique name of the dashboard must match the report name. You can save the report in an existing folder or create a new folder, or a sub folder. Sub folders with custom reports created in the Application Studio are displayed under the Additional Reports folders in the dashboard toolbar.

    The report is displayed under Reports in the Financial Reporting navigation menu. The sub folders with custom reports created in Application Studio are not displayed under Reports in the navigation menu.

    A user with the GL Modeler role can configure reports on the Financial Reporting Homepage.
