FAQ

This section provides answers to common questions about Financial Reporting.

Can a customer use and configure the default KPI package?

Yes. Using the default package is recommended because it includes standard financial KPIs and reduces setup effort. You can also add KPIs.

How are KPI charts and cards defined on the Financial Reporting homepage?

KPI charts and cards are predefined. They show a specific set of KPIs, primarily from the default package in Business Modeling.

Can a user configure KPI charts and cards?

Only members of the GL Modeler role can configure KPI charts and cards. Their configuration is visible to other users.

How to configure KPI charts and cards on the Financial Reporting homepage?

  1. Select Configuration.
  2. To configure KPI charts or KPI cards, click the Homepage Charts or Homepage KPIs tab, respectively.
    Note:

Initially, cards include KPIs from the default package. After you publish additional KPIs under the KPI by Category hierarchy through Business Modeling, those KPIs become available for card assignment.

Charts support a limited set of KPIs from the default package. Experienced modelers can create additional chart copies in Application Studio.

How does Financial Reporting support aggregation at the period level, for example 2025_Q1, 2025_Q_YTD, unlike Financial Consolidation/DEPMAPPS?

The Application Engine converts aggregated periods into base periods. For example 2024 Q2 becomes 2024_04,2024_05,2024_06.
