Installing a standalone farm with IFS web access security

The installation procedure describes an installation and configuration of all services of the farm on the same machine, using IFS security.

Before installing a standalone farm with the IFS authentication in the web, you must meet these prerequisites:

  • You must enable Windows authentication on the Internet Information Services (IIS). This allows you to create a trusted relationship between different Windows domains, and successful connection between Infor EPM and IFS server.
  • Have the correct certificates for the required servers available before you connect IFS.
  • IFS requires that HTTPS is used for these public URLs of the farm:
    • Public URL for Dashboards
    • Public URL for Office Integration
  • The user that runs the Service Expert and the accounts that run Service Controller and the Infor EPM services must be registered in IFS. The users must be assigned to the AttributeServiceCaller role.
  • The Infor Ming.le/IFS certificate must be trusted on the Infor EPM servers to complete the Infor EPM configuration.

See "IFS and ION API" for information on IFS authentication in the web.
