Links to custom Application Studio reports in the standard Financial Consolidation reports

You can create links to custom Application Studio reports in standard Financial Consolidation reports. Unlike standard reports, custom Application Studio reports have options to add comments and classify data. Through the links, users can also incorporate their specific reports that can differ from standard reports.

To create the links, you must have access to EPM Administration and be a member of one of these roles:

  • Business Modeling Administrator
  • Consolidation Modeler
  • Entity Accountant
  • Group Accountant

You can create links to custom Application Studio reports in these Financial Consolidation reports:

  • Intercompany Reconciliation Status
  • Transactions Intercompany Data Entry Status
  • Entity statements
  • Groups statements

Before you can create a link to a custom Application Studio report, ensure that you have permissions to access the custom application to which the custom reports are connected and the custom consolidation reports are available in Business Modeling.

This list shows high-level steps of how to create links to custom Application Studio reports from the standard Financial Consolidation reports:

  1. Create a custom application in EPM Administration. Specify a name and unique name, then select all capabilities.

  2. Configure the custom application's data connections.

  3. In Application Studio, export the Consolidation Custom Jump Template from the EPM Business Applications application and then import the template to the custom application.

  4. In Application Studio, check in the imported template and the Style Sheets folder.

  5. In Business Modeling, create a custom consolidation report in which to create a link. You must adhere to the report naming conventions.

After you perform those steps, you benefit from these results:

  • In the Intercompany Reconciliation Status and Transactions Intercompany Data Entry Status reports, when you click a consolidation process status in the grid's row, the custom Application Studio report is displayed.
  • In any of the entity and group statement reports, when you right-click a value in the grid, the link to the custom Application Studio report is displayed in the menu.
