Users and user groups

Depending on the configuration of your Infor EPM farm, different user and user group types are used.

If the farm has been configured to use the basic authentication both for the web and clients, then you can create basic users in Infor EPM.

If the farm has been configured to use the IFS authentication both for the web and clients, then you can register IFS users and roles

Note: In Infor EPM, IFS roles are used as user groups.

If the farm has been configured to use the IFS authentication for the web and the basic authentication for clients, then you can register IFS users and roles, and create basic users.

If the farm has been configured to use the LDAP authentication for the web and clients, then you can register LDAP users and user groups.

Note: If you register a user group, then any member of that group who signs in becomes an implicit user. To view implicit users, click the three-dot icon in the Users section and select Implicit Users.
