Registering IFS users and roles

If Infor EPM has been configured to use the IFS authentication or runs in Infor Ming.le, then you can register IFS users and roles.

Note: Keep to a minimum the number of IFS roles that are assigned to an IFS user. The more roles that an IFS user has, the greater the amount of data to be communicated and cached when the user signs in.
Note: In IFS User Management, ensure that Infor EPM users' email addresses are specified. Otherwise, the users cannot access Infor EPM.
  1. Select Dashboards > User and Permission Management > Users, Groups and Roles.
  2. In the Users section, click Add and select Register Infor Federation Services Users and User Groups.
Note: In Infor EPM, IFS roles are used as user groups.
  3. In the Register Infor Federation Services Users and User Groups dialog box, select the users and user groups to add and click the Include icon.
If you register a group, then any member of that group who signs in becomes an implicit user. To view implicit users, click the three-dot icon in the Users section and select Implicit Users.
  4. Click OK.
