Importing data

You can import data to the integration or staging tables from a .csv or text file. Imports are cumulative. Thus, if you import the same file twice, duplicate rows are created.

You cannot edit an exported file and then import it.

Note: We recommend that you import from files in UTF-8 format.
  1. Select Dashboards > Data Integrations > Relational Modeling.
  2. In the relational database structure, select the database into which to import.
  3. Click the Schema icon of the table into which to import.
  4. Click Import in the Data Preview pane.
  5. Select the file from which to import and click Import.
    You can copy the imported data from the Data Preview to an external application such as Microsoft Excel.
