Multidimensional access control
READ access allows a user to view data for selected cells of the Multidimensional
Access cube. For instance, for the combination of company structure and period, some selected
users might be able to view company data for one year and have restricted rights for other
years. This information is read-only without ability for users with READ access to change
these values.
WRITE access allows a user to view data for selected cells of Multidimensional Access cube (for instance for the combination of company structure and period, so selected users might be able to view company data for one year and have restricted rights for other years). WRITE access also allows users to change these values.
NONE access means the user will not see those values but will see dimension elements that they assigned to. If they try to use these elements as arguments in a DBGET or DBGETC formula, the formula will not return a value. If there is an OLAP rule where the user has access to target cell and source has a reference to the restricted elements, users see that formula’s result.
