Enabling multidimensional access control

  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.
  2. In the Database Structure widget, select the database to administer.
  3. Expand the Cubes node and select the cube for which to create an MDAC cube.
  4. Select Enable Multidimensional Access Control in the Security section of the Properties tab.
  5. Click Create New Cube.
  6. Accept the suggested cube name and caption for the MDAC cube or specify a name and caption. Optionally, edit the suggested description.
    By default, the name of an MDAC cube is the name of the selected dimension, prefixed by the # symbol.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Select the dimensions to include in the cube. You must include at least two dimensions.
    Use the arrows in the Available Dimensions and Selected Dimensions panes to add and remove dimensions from the cube.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Specify permissions for the cube in the Manage Permissions dashboard.
