Deleting a hierarchy

If a dimension has multiple hierarchies, deleting a hierarchy also deletes its elements. If you delete the last or only hierarchy in a dimension, then the dimension and all its attributes are also deleted.

You cannot delete the default hierarchy. But you can edit the properties of the dimension to select a different default hierarchy.

  1. Select Dashboards > OLAP > Edit Database.
  2. Select the dimension to which the hierarchy belongs and click the Hierarchies tab.
  3. Click the Delete icon of the hierarchy to delete.
