Salary, benefit, cost definition

Salaries, benefits, and costs are individual expenses that can be applied to jobs, positions, and employees. The individual expenses are what make up a position or employee cost.

Integration allows the import of salary-benefit-cost metadata, the values associated with the salaries, benefits or costs, and salary-benefit-cost action data.

Salary, Benefit, and Cost Definition business objects are used in these dimensions and cubes:

  • Dimensions:
    • WBD_BENEFITCOST
    • WBD_BASEDON_BENEFITCOST
    • WBDCALCULATION_TYPE
    • WBDBC_RANGE
    • BPDDETAIL

    • WBCCONFIG_BENEFITCOST_ASSIGNMENT

Salary, Benefit, and Cost Definition business object elements are created during the import process by the application in these dimensions:

  • The WBD_BENEFITCOST dimension which is in the WBD_BENEFITCOST hierarchy under TOTAL_SALARY_BENEFITS, TOTAL_OTHER_BENEFITS, and TOTAL_COSTS.
  • The BASEDON_BENEFITCOST dimension which is in the BASEDON_BENEFITCOST hierarchy under TOTAL_SALARY_BENEFITS, TOTAL_OTHER_BENEFITS, and TOTAL_COSTS.
  • The BPDDETAIL dimension which is in the WBD_BENEFITCOST hierarchy under TOTAL_SALARY_BENEFITS, TOTAL_OTHER_BENEFITS, and TOTAL_COSTS.
  • The WBDBC_RANGE dimension which is in the WBDBC_RANGE hierarchy under TOTAL_BC_RANGE.

The WBD_BENEFITCOST and WBD_BASEDON_BENEFITCOST dimensions and the WB_BENEFITCOST hierarchy in BPDDETAIL must always contain the same set of elements.
