Business objects and data integration

A business object is a representation of a business structure with properties, parameters and relationships to other business objects. Business objects are used for analytical and planning purposes and represent what to include in the scope of the analysis.

Some business objects, such as Accounts, Entities, or Organizations are represented by data in standard integration tables in relational modeling. Data is published from standard integration tables to OLAP through Business Modeling.

Business objects relate to these Infor d/EPM business applications:

  • Infor Budgeting & Planning: Used for financial budgeting and planning.
  • Workforce Budgeting: Used for workforce cost budgeting.

For more information on Workforce Budgeting, select Administrator > Integration > Workforce Budgeting in this documentation.
