Entities and organizations from the business perspective
In Infor d/EPM, entities and organizations differ from each other.
An entity is a company or a company subset, usually one legal unit. An entity represents the lowest level at which financial reports, such as profit and loss statements or balance sheets are produced.
An organization is an internal structure of a company, usually a cost center. In Infor d/EPM, an organization structure can be used for hierarchical approvals in workflows.
