Publishing a widget

  1. Add a standard widget to your home page or select an existing widget.
  2. Click the menu icon in the widget and select Configure. Edit and configure the contents of the widget as required.
  3. Click the menu icon and select Advanced > Publish.
    The Edit Publish Configuration dialog box is displayed.
  4. Click the Basic tab and specify this information:
    Title
    Specify the title that will be displayed.
    Use Widget Catalog title as widget title
    Note: Do not select this option. Leaving this option unselected overrides the widget catalog title and ensures that the title comes from the content instead.
    Description
    Specify a description of the widget.
    Tags
    Optionally, add tags to help users to search for the widget in the widget catalog. Specify a tag in the Tags field, overwriting any existing tag, and click the plus icon. Add further tags as required.
  5. Click the Settings tab and specify this information:
    Enable settings
    Select to enable the remaining settings on the tab. These settings control which fields are available when users configure the widget.
    Widget Configuration
    Select. This specifies that the configuration of the widget and the selections made in the report are saved. If you do not select this option, the report returns to its original state every time the page is reloaded.
  6. Optionally, click the Translations tab and specify this information:
    Language
    Select a language in which to translate the widget's title
    Title
    Specify the translation of the widget's title in the selected language.
    Description
    Specify a description and click Add.
  7. Optionally, click the Permissions tab and select whether to grant access to the widget to a group, to a role, or to a specific user. Specify one of these levels of permission for the selected group, user, or role:
    • Configure
    • View Only
    • Disabled
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click Publish in the title bar.
