Custom lists

Custom lists are lists based on custom hierarchies.

The list designer for custom lists is similar to the server list designer but has only one or two structure selection options, and no Attributes pane. If you create a custom list on the OLAP metadata hierarchy, the structure selection options are Children of, and Attributes of. If you create a custom list on a string hierarchy, the only structure selection option is Children of.

To create a custom list, right-click the custom hierarchy on which to base it and select New > Custom List. List names can be a maximum of 50 characters.

To edit the custom list, right-click, and select Edit.

Specify the list elements in the List Designer.
