OLAP metadata hierarchy

This custom hierarchy contains information about any OLAP, ODBO, and AS data connections that you are logged-on to. The root element of the hierarchy is the repository. You use this information in lists and display it on the worksheet in hyperblocks, list boxes, combo boxes, and option boxes.

You cannot delete the OLAP metadata hierarchy.

For example, you might use the OLAP metadata hierarchy to create a list of slice dimensions in a dynamic report.

Or, you could use the hierarchy to select different views of the data within a report.
