Using on log-in actions to define global variables

On log-in actions enable the values of global variables to be set during a users' log-in and before any report starts to load. On-login actions are executed during log in to the Application Studio Service and the Application Studio client.
  1. Right-click the root of the report catalog and select Actions .
    This option is displayed only if you have Modify access on the report catalog.
  2. In the Name column, click Add action and specify a name for the action.
    The name must be unique and must not start with a number or include special characters.
  3. If the action must be executed only when condition is met, specify the condition.
  4. Select On log-in as the action mode.
  5. Click Add parameter and select the parameter to set.
  6. Specify the value to set.
