Attributes of OLAP metadata hierarchy elements

You can use the List Designer to view the attributes of any dimension in the OLAP metadata hierarchy. The List Designer for custom hierarchies does not have an Attributes pane. Instead, you select attributes in the Structure Selection pane.

The unique names of attributes in the OLAP metadata hierarchy have this syntax:

[ Attribute ].[ parent path ].[ Attribute name ]

For example:

[Attribute].[BestPracticesOLAP].[ANALYSIS].[PRODUCT].[PRODUCT].[ATT2_ENGLISH]

In Design mode, select the list object that contains the OLAP metadata hierarchy.
Select the required dimension in the Attributes of: list in the Structure Selection section of the list designer.

Note: The Attributes of: list is available only for the OLAP metadata hierarchy.

The attributes of the selected dimension are displayed in View mode.

Note: Intrinsic attributes, and the Name and Description attributes are not displayed.
