Specifying the format of cell references

By default, cells are referred to by column letter and row number. Cell A1 is the first cell, at the top left of the worksheet. You can instead reference cells by row and column number. R1C1 also refers to the first cell of the worksheet.

  1. Select Extras > Settings.
  2. Click General and select A1 or R1C1.
  3. Click OK.
    Cell references in formulas are updated to the selected method of referencing.
