X and Y error indicators tab
The X and Y indicators tabs are tabs of the Format Data Series dialog.
A chart might represent, for example, the results of measurements about which there is a degree of uncertainty. In text, this uncertainty might be expressed in the form "In Scenarios A, B and C, the result of the measurement is N, plus or minus 2%". You can use error indicators in charts to represent such uncertainty graphically.
The label of the tab depends on the orientation of the chart. For example, for Bar charts, the tab is X Error Indicators. For Column charts, the tab is Y Error Indicators.
Specify which of these values the error indicators represent:
- A fixed value
- A percentage
- Standard deviation
- Standard error
- A user-defined value
