Displaying the Properties pane
The Properties pane displays the properties of items you select in the Database Structure or Accessories pane of the Application Explorer
To open the Properties pane, select

This table shows the properties of a data connection:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Application Name | If applicable, the name of the application to which the connection belongs |
Application Vendor | If applicable, the name of the vendor of the application to which the connection belongs |
Application Version | If applicable, the version of the application to which the connection belongs |
Connected | Displays True if you are logged on to the connection, False if you are logged off. |
Content State | Indicates whether the connection forms part of an application's content. |
Description | The description of the data connection if a description has been given |
Name | The name of the data connection; used in lists and formulas. |
Protected Content | Displays True if the connection is protected from editing. |
Provider type | The type of data connection, such as Relational Provider or OLAP |
Properties of calculations
This table shows the properties of calculations:
Properties of calculations | Description |
---|---|
Expression | The expression which defines the calculated element. |
Format String | The format of the cell value. |
MDX Definition | The MDX definition of the calculated element. |
Parent | The unique name of the parent to which the calculation belongs. |
Order of creation | Displays the order of creation of calculated elements that are based on each other. |
Visible | Specifies whether the calculated element is displayed on the spreadsheet (invisible, when this value is set to 0). |
Solve Order | Specifies the solve order of the calculations. |
XML Definition | XML definition of the calculation. |
