Creating a static calculated element in a slice

  1. In the New Slice dialog, click Edit Slice Settings in the heading of the General section.
    The Slice Settings Designer pane replaces the List Designer pane.
  2. Select the Calculations section and click Add Calculation.
  3. Select Static.
  4. Select the hierarchy on which to create the calculation.
  5. Optionally, select a parent element to determine where in the hierarchy the element is created.
  6. Click the browse button of the Expression field to display the Edit Formula dialog. Specify the calculation, or select an existing calculation in the Elements tab.
    The Elements tab includes existing query-scoped calculations and session-scoped calculations, created in the Database Structure.
