Enforcing recalculation of whole report

When a select element, set parameters, or Application Engine process action changes one component of a report, all other components that depend on it are recalculated. For example, if the value of a variable is changed, all objects and formulas that reference that variable are recalculated.

In some cases, an entire report must be recalculated. For example, an Application Engine process might add a new hierarchy, or write a new value to a database. Such changes are outside the report and do not have effect in the report until the whole report is recalculated.
Note: Depending on the size and complexity of the report, recalculating the whole report can have a significant effect on performance.
  1. Create a select element, set parameters, or Application Engine process action.
  2. In the Inputs section of the action, click Add input/option.
  3. Select Optional Inputs > Enforce recalculation of whole report.
  4. Select the check box in the Value column.
