Basing a sparkline on children

A sparkline can show information about the children of a selected element, for a particular slice of data. The parent element can be a specific element, or it can be the currently selected element in, for example, a combo box.

  1. Select Children in the Sparkline Wizard.
  2. Select a sparkline type from the list at the top of the Wizard.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the data connection, cube and hierarchy to use.
  5. From the Parent field, select the parent element or the report object (combo box, for example) which contains the parent elements.
  6. To specify the slice of data to which the sparkline relates, select an element from each hierarchy of the selected cube.
